Dark Star Films are a Bristol-based film production company producing quirky, off-beat short films, music videos and promotional video.
We worked very closely with Dark Star founders Pete Thomas and Chris Campion for a few months to make sure that the tone of the site was spot-on, as well as providing all the features needed to show off their work to it's best effect and allowing them to easily keep the site up-to-date after launched.
Dark Star make films that conjure up vivid images of worlds that are dark, fascinating and beautiful: The look of the site reflects this - but we've been careful to do so in a clean, crisp manner so that it's easy to browse and content is allowed to shine through. A lot of thought has been put into making it as usable and accessible as possible.
The site is built upon the Drupal CMS, and includes a high-quality video gallery with full-screen options.
Both ourselves and Dark Star are delighted with the results of this collaboration and we'll be actively looking for ways we can build on this relationship over the coming months.
