Our relationship with The Institute of Financial Planning begain in Summer 2010: They had a dated website running off a proprietary Content Management System and limited control over the site content and structure.
We were asked us to redesign and redevelop their website, bringing the look up-to-date and putting in place a modern and intuitive Content Management System.
The new, open-souce CMS translated to greatly running costs, and the ability to manage their website content internally without having to pay a third-party to do it for them.
We also setup an e-commerce system that the IFP's several thousand members can use to sign up to events, purchase and renew memberships - resulting in increased revenue and freeing up of administrative time.
We continue to work closely with the IFP and recent enhancements include creating responsive and mobile-friendly pages.
'We challenged Function Design to meet our demanding needs and develop a website that we could be proud of. Our list of priorities were for the new site to:
- Reflect our brand values
- Differentiate between and communicate to two very different audiences
- Allow us to build and manage our own content at the touch of a button
- Integrate a complicated e-commerce system
I’m delighted to say Function Design didn’t disappoint - the new website has been brilliant.
The CMS is a fantastic asset and has received very positive feedback. The website has streamlined in-house administration, reduced web development costs and we’ve experienced an increase in traffic month on month since launch. As a result, we now have a website – the window to our organisation – that we’re definitely proud of.'
